    CHENNAI: Greetings poured in for Chief Minister MK Stalin who turned 72 on Saturday.

    From President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, leaders from across the country greeted the CM.

    In his birthday message to the cadre and the people of Tamil Nadu, Stalin vowed to oppose Hindi imposition forever and never forgo the rights of the state.

    Stalin started the day by paying floral tributes at the memorials of Periyar EV Ramasamy, Arignar Anna and M Karunanidhi and also visited his mother Dayalu Ammal at her Gopalapuram residence, before leaving for party headquarters Anna Arivalayam, where he administered a birthday oath to party leaders.

    “We will never forsake the welfare and future of Tamil Nadu. Will oppose Hindi imposition forever! Will remain united and fight for the rights of Tamil Nadu forever! Tamil Nadu will fight. Tamil Nadu will win,” read Stalin as his party leaders, including DMK general secretary Duraimurugan and principal secretary KN Nehru, among others promptly repeated after him.

    In his birthday greetings posted on X, Prime Minister Modi said, “Birthday greetings to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin. May he lead a long and healthy life.”

    Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi greeted Stalin and said, “We continue to stand together in our commitment to preserve India's rich diversity, federal structure, and Constitutional values.”

    “We will together continue the fight to protect the tenets of the Constitution and uphold Democratic principles,” said AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, in his birthday greetings posted on social media. Extending warm birthday wishes to his Tamil Nadu counterpart, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said, “At a time when communal divisiveness and cultural majoritarianism threaten our society, your steadfast commitment to democracy and secularism remains an inspiration. Together, we shall safeguard and strengthen our nation’s true essence-rooted in diversity and inclusivity. Wishing you boundless joy and good health.”
