Pradosh, Vijay Shankar send Vijay to VAP title clash
Pradosh Ranjan Paul (104) and Vijay Shankar (100) struck centuries to propel holder India Cements – Vijay Cricket Club to the final of the VA Parthasarathy Memorial Trophy One-Day Tournament (2019-20).

In the last four stage match at the India Cements – Guru Nanak College Ground here on Friday, Vijay CC got the better of MRF – Globe Trotters by 76 runs. Batting first, Vijay CC was tottering at 36 for four when Pradosh and Vijay Shankar joined forces. The pair added 161 runs off 159 balls for the match-winning fifth-wicket stand.
While Pradosh’s knock included 12 fours and two sixes, Vijay Shankar’s innings was laced with four fours and a couple of maximums. Chasing more than one run per ball, MRF could only manage 237 all-out in 41 overs. In the other semi-final, Sanmar – Alwarpet CC defeated Take Solutions – MRC ‘A’ by 131 runs. The final will take place at VB Nest on Sunday.
