Chennai youth held for sending pornographic videos to college girls

The arrested youth was identified as Vinoth (24) of Mullikulam village in Tenkasi district, employed in a private firm in Chennai. His arrest was based on a complaint given by the parents of a girl in Natrampalli, who faced such harassment from him.

Police said that Vinoth found a lost mobile phone, belonging to a Chennai based college girl and used the Truecaller- an identity App, to note down the phone numbers of the girls who called and sent them pornographic photos and videos. He also indulged in verbal sexual slander with some of the girls.

When a girl in Natrampalli, suffered the same fate, she complained to her parents who met and complained to SP Vijayakumar with mobile phone evidence. Vijayakumar ordered pfor his arrest. A team went to Chromepet and Vinoth was caught red-handed. He was brought to Natramapalli police station for questioning. Inquires revealed that Vinoth had sent such obscene videos to nearly 70 girls. A case was registered and Vinoth was remanded in custody by a court on Friday.
