Rajini’s party launch likely in November: Karate Thiagarajan
Former Chennai deputy mayor Karate R Thiagarajan on Wednesday said actor Rajinikanth is likely to launch his political party in November this year.
Chennai
“Rajinikanth had planned to launch his party in August but it was postponed to November due to COVID-19 outbreak,” he said after garlanding the statue of former chief minister and Congress leader K Kamaraj on his birth anniversary.
Taking a dig at DMK president MK Stalin, he said, “DMK’s Ondrinaivom Vaa has failed to strike a chord with masses. They have failed as opposition in the war against corona.” He further said Rajinikanth’s ‘Summa Vida Koodathu’ (Should not spare the culprits) hashtag against the policemen involved in the Sathankulam father-son duo Jayaraj and Bennix death was a great hit on social media. Refusing to give a categorical timeline for the launch of his political party, Rajinikanth had, in March this year, put the onus on the people to “show the resurgence towards a political change” for him to take the formal plunge. He has said he would never be the Chief Minister even if his yet-to-be-launched party wins elections.
