TN CM and Governor greet people on Vinayagar Chaturthi

Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K Palaniswamy and Governor Banwarilal Purohit in separate statements extending their greetings and wishes to the people on the occasion of Vinayagar Chaturthi which will be celebrated on Saturday (August 22).

The undertone of both statements were the hope and prayer of peace, harmony, prosperity and good health. Purohit also mentioned that a salubrious future awaits the people of Tamil Nadu.

CM quoted 'Vinaigalin veraye kalaindherium vallavar Vinayagar' from Tamil holy text Thirumurai meaning 'Lord Vinayaga is capable of uprooting all kinds of miseries'.

He also advocated using Ganesh idols made of clay for worship purposes and reitirated people to stay at home and celebrate the appearance of Lord Ganesh.
