'Arumugaswamy Commission is biased in its inquiry': Apollo Hospitals
In its reply statement to the Supreme Court, Apollo Hospitals further said that only a team of medical experts can scrutinize the medical records of the former CM Jayalalithaa.

Last month, the Supreme Court had sought a response from Apollo Hospitals on a plea filed by the Tamil Nadu government to vacate the stay on proceedings of an Inquiry Commission to probe into the death of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
Accordingly, the Apollo Hospitals had filed its reply in the SC, today. The reply statement said that the inquiry commission headed by retired judge Arumugaswamy, is biased in its inquiry procedure.
Further, the Apollo Hospitals also said that the commission does not have any medical experts in their team and only a team of medical experts are eligible to scrutinize the medical records and the treatment given to the former Chief Minister of TamilNadu J Jayalalithaa.
Jayalalithaa was admitted in Apollo hospital on September 22, 2016, where she underwent treatment for 75 days before she breathed her last on December 5. In September 2017, retired Judge Arumugaswamy was appointed to head the probe into the death of the former Chief Minister.
