Haasan to launch third leg campaign from Tiruchy today
Makkal Needhi Maiam president Kamal Haasan on Sunday embark on his third leg of “Reimagining Tamil Nadu” campaigning from Tiruchy as part of the next year’s assembly polls.

In a statement, party’s vice president Dr R Mahendran said that he would campaign in Trichy, Thanjavur, Pattukottai, Vedaranyam, Vellankanni, Nagoor, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Kumbakonam, Pudukottai, Karaikudi, Sivaganga, Paramakudi and Aruppukottai from December 27 to 30.
In the first leg of the campaign trail, he covered southern districts Madurai, Dindigul, Theni, Virudhunagar, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Kanyakumari from December 13 to 16. During the second leg, he campaigned in Chengelpattu, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Cuddalore and Puducherry from December 20 to 22.
In his campaign, the actor has been promising to provide corruption free-administration if voted to power. He also released his party’s seven-point agenda to make the state achieve one trillion economy.
His vision talks about paperless green channel governance, online homes connected through computer and internet, enabling villages to become self-sufficient to promote enterprise economy and payment of salary to homemakers.
He has been continuously invoking the name of AIADMK founder and former chief minister late MG Ramachandran in his speech evoking a strong response from the ruling party.
