AU asks students to fill UGC’s anti-ragging online affidavit
Anna University has said that University Grants Commission (UGC) has revised the procedure for students to file online ‘Anti-Ragging Affidavit

Though there is an anti-ragging committee available in each college, the UGC has decided to ensure that the students upload an anti-ragging affidavit online.
Accordingly, the university’s affiliated colleges across the State were instructed to begin an awareness campaign among the students to adhere to the prescribed guidelines.
Anna University, in its circular to the principal and dean of all its affiliated engineering colleges across the State, urged to make wide publicity among the students by displaying the UGC guidelines in the colleges, departments, hostels, and notice board and to instruct the students to follow the UGC instructions.
The students will have to submit their details on the www.antiragging.in and also confirm and agree that they would not indulge in ragging in any form.
After filling up the form, the students will also receive an e-mail with their respective registration number and a web link. Accordingly, the students will forward the link to the e-mail to the nodal officer in their institutions.
The nodal officer in the universities and colleges will ensure that all the students in their respective institutions that all the students have submitted ragging undertakings.
