AIADMK MLAs give list of pending works in Kovai

COIMBATORE: Nine AIADMK MLAs led by ex-minister SP Velumani on Tuesday submitted the list of 10 long pending issues to District Collector GS Sameeran to be resolved in their constituencies in Coimbatore.

They handed over their demands after Chief Minister MK Stalin asked MLAs cutting across party lines to submit their long pending demands to the government to be resolved.

Speaking to reporters, Velumani said the roads, which were maintained well during the AIADMK rule, remained battered and unfit for use. “Around 500 contracts for road maintenance work have been cancelled by the government in the district. The flyover works, which were taken up during AIADMK rule, should be completed soon. The erratic water supply should be regularised, while metro train projects and Western by-pass road works should be commenced. Even the Vellalore bus terminal works has been stopped intentionally,” he said.

Further, Velumani said that the AIADMK gave a growth of 50 years, but DMK failed to implement any of its project.
