    TNEA counselling: Tentative list declared for over 23K students

    The second round of counselling for the students seeking engineering seats in Tamil Nadu has begun on September 25 with more than 30,000 students have participated in the admission process.

    CHENNAI: The tentative list of the students, who participated in the second round of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA-2022) counselling was released on Wednesday with more than 23,000 candidates being offered seat allocations based on the merit list.

    The second round of counselling for the students seeking engineering seats in Tamil Nadu has begun on September 25 with more than 30,000 students have participated in the admission process.

    With engineering seats allocated to as many as 11,595 candidates during the first round of counselling, the tentative allotment has been given to a total of 23,458 students, who had participated in the second session.

    The second round of counselling has been conducted for the students who had secured cut-off marks between 184.5 and 163 (from rank 14,524 to 45,577).

    "The tentative allotment will be made for these students on Wednesday,” a senior official from the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE).

    Stating that the final provisional allotment list will be released on October 13 for the students, who participated in the second round of counselling, the third round of counselling will begin on the same day where students who secured cut-off marks between 162.9 and 130.2 were expected to participate.

    "For these candidates, the final provisional allotment list will be released on October 29,” the DOTE official said. He said as per the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA-2022) schedule, the final and fourth round of counselling for the students, who secured cut-off marks between 130 and 77 in the general category will begin on October 29 and would end on November 11.
