An image of French President Emmanuel Macron and Turkish President Recep T Erdogan was shared with the claim the latter refused to shake hands with the former. This image has been shared after Erdogan criticised the Macron’s remarks on Islam. Last month, Erdogan also recommended boycotting French goods. Alt News ran a fact check and found it was a 2018 image of the duo at the UN headquarters in New York City. The two did shake hands at the said event.
