Spiritual scientists like sages and siddhars insisted upon meditation for unwavering peace and prosperity in life. Meditation isn’t something one does because they have the time, but it is integral to life. Meditation has three major benefits; for the mody, the mind and the spirit.
For physical health:
Meditating instantly and immediately consciously dissolves stress from the mind and body, which is the primary need for proper functioning of the heart and brain. It is also the best solution for hypertension and countering any negative effect on the brain.
For emotional health:
Meditation helps attain a state of clarity and focus on any action one is involved in. It helps emotional health in two ways: it controls the mind and takes one to a higher state of consciousness. A heightened state of mind is very different from a heightened state of consciousness and can never match it. Reflect on this example—the best trained donkey can never outrun an untrained horse. One’s mind is the donkey. You can feed it with knowledge and skill but it can never match what flows through consciousness.
Meditation shifts one’s attitude; from problem justification to problem rectification, to move ahead progressively. A meditator develops a feeling of unshakable security and self-esteem. Learning new things becomes easier and one can adapt to change without stress or fear.
For spiritual advancement:
Employees and students are selected based on their IQ (Intelligence Quotient). But it is a scientifically proven fact that EQ (Emotional Quotient) is more important and a necessity to express ones IQ. However, the entire world is now slowly realizing and shifting towards an even more important attribute—spiritual quotient or SQ. And SQ is achieved not by talking, listening or reading about meditation, spirituality or God. SQ is achieved by practicing meditation.
One who is unaware of the real nature of the self, struggles to maintain emotional stability without which one cannot express their ability. It is a fact that meditation is needed to maintain one’s emotional stability.
Once you include meditation in life, you get signals from nature and life that that which was once thought of as impossible is now truly possible with meditation. It is high time to realise that meditation is not just a stress buster but an essential life booster in every possible way to experience positive effects in all aspects of life.
Wishing you a life full of health, peace and happiness. Aham Brahmasmi!!
