They were the most beautiful he had ever seen. Upon returning, he summoned a bird trainer and asked him to train the birds. He also arranged a place in the palace garden for the parrots. One day, the trainer told the king that though one of the parrots was flying majestically in the sky, the other one was not moving from its branch since the day it had arrived.
Hearing this, the king called trainers and healers from the nearby kingdoms. They all tried their best but couldn’t make the parrot fly. Even his courtiers tried to find a way to make it fly, but in vain. Finally, the king thought he needs someone who may be familiar with natural habitat. He asked his courtier to get a farmer and take him to the parrot to see if he can understand the problem.
The next morning, the king was thrilled to see the parrot flying high. He asked his servant to call the farmer. When the farmer arrived, the king asked him, “How did you make the parrot fly?” The farmer said, “It was easy, your majesty. I cut the branch where the bird was sitting.”
