As they started to walk in the water, the water reached their neck and suddenly, Socrates thrust the young man’s head into the water. The youth not expecting this sudden move struggled to get out, but Socrates was strong and held on to his neck tightly till the young man’s face turned blue. Socrates then pulled the man’s head out of the water. The young man gasps and then takes a deep breath. Socrates asked, “What did you want the most when your head was in the water?” The young man replied, “Air.” Socrates said, “That is the secret to success. When you want success as badly as you wanted the air while you were in the water, then you will get it. There is no other secret.”
